Background
The Sega Master System was released in the US in 1986, slighty afeter Nintendo Released the Nes. Unfortunately, being released after the Nes hindered the SMS. Many third party publishers had entered into Nintendo's exclusivity contract, leaving the SMS bereft of many quality games that were released for the Nes. Also, to make matters worse, those game sthat were released simply didn't compare to what was on the Nes. All though there were top-notch games, they were few and far between, and gameres avoided the Master System like the plague. In europe, however, Nintendo could not keep companies under the kind of contract they did in America. In Europe, the Sms flourished, as it was technologically superior to the Nes. Either way, a few mediocre games were released to the Sms platform, and it is indeed worth it to check them out. Midi Files |
