Bad News Posted by (wraith) (09:48:59 EST) Unfortunately, Gamesounds is probably going to be closing towards the end of the month or the beginning of next month. For starters, I no longer can afford the ISP bill ( I'm just a poor college student :( ). Secondly, I'm strapped for time because of school and because of work, and I'd rather spen the time I have persuing some other interests. These Including a romhack/translation project that's been going on for a little while now; and http://donut.parodius.com, another side project of mine and a friend -- oh yeah, and real life, too =P. Can't forget about that. Anyways, I was juggling a lot of stuff, and this ended up being the thing that got dropped. But, it was fun while it lasted. I would like to thank Spinner 8 for always having something positive to say, and for being an all-around cool person. Also thanks go out to Mr. About and kalevan, for being my sites first, and staunchest, fans. I would like to thank MBudai ( good luck with Blue Ember Productions ), Rie Lenka ( Great tracks and sequences; those games definitely needed attention ;) ), and all the sequencers who were kind enough to return my annoying emails a few months ago and give me permission to archive their stuff. Really, around of applause for them =]. Anyone else I missed, sorry. I'll try harder to remember you next time =]. Anyway, if you're into emulation or romhacking, I'm sure you'll see me around. If not .. it's been real. --(wraith)

Slight Layout Change and a Big-Arse Announcement Posted by (wraith) (00:18:02 EST) Hey, (wraith) here. I would just like to let all the visitors who didn't notice yet that there was a slight layout change. Now, going to the midi section for a system will bring up all the games we have midis for, listing only titles of the games. Clicking on the title of a game will take you to a page with all the songs we have for it. This should hopefully cut down on load times for those you (like me) who are still stuck on dial-up, and create less 'fluff' to wade through when you're looking for something in particular. And that brings us on to Big Arse Announcement One . . . Big Arse Announcement (In stereo where available) - With each game having it's own individual page, we now are open to the option of reviews and game synopsises (bah, stupid grammar), and more. I will now be accepting reviews of games, synopsises (this would entail writing about what goes on in the game i.e. - something like what is usualy printed on the back of the game's box and/or a little history about the game) and screenshots for any games listed anywhere in the Gamesounds Midi sections. My only guidelines are:
